From the latest in 3D printers to jet packs, the best and brightest of New Zealand's manufacturing sector went on display in Christchurch for two days only, July 22-23,  2015.

Among them is a local company with an invention it hopes will revolutionise search and rescue operations. Graham Tully's latest creation is an unmanned aerial vehicle which he says cannot be compared to the cheap toys on sale. He plans to eventually market to agencies overseas, such as the US Coast Guard. Mr Tully was just one of more than 100 exhibitors at the two-day SouthMACH Expo, which showcases the latest in what manufacturers and engineers have to offer.
